Messages from the Masters
During the middle two hours, author Gary Renard shared information as revealed by Arten and Pursah, spirit guides who appeared to him in the flesh on numerous occasions. The two beings, whom he described as "ascended masters," told him they had lived previous incarnations as Jesus' disciples. Renard said they appeared to him in order to correct inaccuracies that had been propagated by the Bible and to teach spiritual truths.
Their basic message, which he said shared similarities to the material in A Course in Miracles, as well as some tenets of Buddhism, is that humans are caught in the projections of their own making. This illusory sense of duality keeps us from realizing our oneness and true reality, he explained.
The masters also told him that because of mankind's focus on duality, we could expect an acceleration of both good and bad events in the 21st century. There will be a huge economic expansion and the Dow will rise to the 100,000 level by 2050, yet there will also be a nuclear detonation in a major city instigated by terrorists, they predicted.

The Numinous Legacy: Modern Cosmology and Religion
Adair Butchins, the author of The Numinous Legacy, joined special guest host Art Bell in a conversation that intertwined science and religion this Thursday night. Butchins pointed out that the three monotheistic religions-- Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, were formed before the Copernican revolution (which showed that Earth wasn't the center of the universe) and thus they make God a "rather local" phenomenon.
"I think there's definitely a system at work," making the universe the way it is, Butchins said. But while he doesn't reject the concept of a God or creator of the universe, he characterized such a being as likely indifferent to the fate of humanity or even the universe itself. "If God does exist, he doesn't interfere," Butchins stated.
One of Butchins' most intriguing theories was that consciousness may have arisen from a parallel universe. He suggested that constants such as mathematics, ethics, love and compassion could have been seeded into our realm, possibly by advanced intelligences that inhabit other universes.

Many blogs are online diaries chronicling activities and events as they happen to the writer, often with no reference to the Web at all. Some writers create only brief entries, while others provide extended essays on life, the universe and everything. There are several sites where people can create accounts and publish their blogs, most notably www.blogger.com, where blogs often have names like The Magnificent Melting Object, or Exploits of a Dwarf Lover.

BLOGGER is a person who keeps a Web log, or blog for short. The idea started sometime in 1998, but really caught on in 2000, to the extent that there are now thousands of bloggers and blogs about. At the beginning, the concept was that a person kept a diary of their explorations of the World Wide Web, making it public for others to inspect and follow up. But as blogging has expanded, that simple idea has been so much modified that it is now difficult to get two bloggers to agree on what the term means. Many blogs are online diaries chronicling activities and events as they happen to the writer, often with no reference to the Web at all. Some writers create only brief entries, while others provide extended essays on life, the universe and everything. GOODY TWO-SHOES It comes from the title of a rather twee and moralistic nursery tale called The History of Goody Two-Shoes, which is thought to have been written by Oliver Goldsmith, and which was published in 1765 by John Newbery, one of the earliest London publishers of children’s stories. Goody owned only one shoe. When she was given a pair of them, she was so pleased that she showed them to everybody, saying “Two shoes”.
The phrase now refers to a self-righteous, smugly virtuous person.
